Air America offers advanced specialty courses for the following certificates:
Certified Flight Instructor
If you love to talk about aviation, you might be a candidate for a flight instructor. Our entry-level aviation educator courses are designed to help you share your love of flying with others. Requires about 2 weeks of exhaustive, accelerated training, 30 days of intense training or longer on your preferred schedule.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a commercial pilot certificate
- Hold an instrument rating
- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate
- Have logged at least 250 hours and the required training for the CFI
rating per FAA regulations
- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test

Certified Flight Instructor Instrument / Multi-Engine Instructor
Advanced Instructor certificates allow you to do more, fly more and earn more.
Part 141 and 61,
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
